The late Edward Said, Palestinian and professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University in New York, years ago wrote an essay titled "The Treason of the Intellectuals" (the treason of the intellectuals). He was referring to the shameful retreat of the best progressive minds of America in front of the Israeli taboo.
