On 12 February, Bangalore, India, the presidents of AgustaWestland, Giuseppe Orsi, and Tata Sons, Ratan Tata, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, that is a pre-agreement, which provides for the formation of a joint venture between AgustaWestland and Tata, for the production (in India) of AgustaWestland helicopters.
Tata, famous for the production of eigenvector low cost, and will manufacture the company Finmeccanica continue to be responsible for marketing and sale in India and neighboring countries.
helicopters will be produced for both civil and military use. While the first has not provided any data, "in the military market" Finmeccanica Notes that "acquisition programs are planned for about 500 helicopters in the coming years."
It's always good to remember that India is one of the Asian countries at war (for the dispute of Kashmir with Pakistan).
